2011 Time Trial Results to Date
The 2011 NEPA Tuesday Night Training Series!
In the spirit of rider development we welcome riders of all ability to take part in these training exercises. Tuesday afternoons Starting May 10th through August 9th there will be race oriented training events to help sharpen your skills and performance. On rotating weeks we will offer either a mass start training race or time trial
Dates and Descriptions:
30 mile Circuit Race Training-May 24, June 7,21, July 5,19, Aug. 2. Meet at the corner of Coxton Rd. and Evergreen in Ransom. See course Map and pan out to get bearings. A Mass start event. General format for the Circuit nights include a controlled 27 miles. Sprints each lap (3 miles) regrouping after the sprints to roll over the 2 stage hill. Once over, Game On for the next sprint! For the last sprint we race a free for all all the was around to see what you have left for the final sprint! This gives everyone practice setting up for sprints from different positions in the field and a chance to work on tactics and gauge their fitness.
12.3 mile Time Trial- May 31, June 14, 28, July 12, 26 Aug. 9. Start and Finish at the beginning of Coxton Rd. Near N. Main about 2 miles from Pittston. In front of the water treatment plant. Time Trialing training helps you work on your threshold, gauge your output over varying terrain, adjust your position for arrow dynamics, comfort and power. By running the same course you can monitor your improvements, decide which energy drink work for you, which pre-race foods, etc.
